Yes, some applications are providing bar-code method but we are going to replace it with QR- code.
About learning is that every time code’s error generate it improves our skills.  In this fast world as demand increases there is a chance of duplication of product, that may cause many problems we are trying to solve that by introducing Genius Scanner which produce QR-Codes that labeled on each and every product and can scan by handset app, which show details of the product like product’s manufacturing and expiry date, its belongingness, Product allocation. In a simple QR-code Position Detection Pattern (PDP) and Separators for Position Detection Patterns (SPDP) situated on its three corners are used for detection of QR-code position and orientation in image. Alignment and timing patterns are used as markers points in order to identify and scan a code. Encoded binary data and error correction codewords as a set of small white and black squares are placed into region depicted in gray for simplicity. Code can be scan by phone app or Reed-Solomon error correction.    

Project Objectives

The motive of our project is to stop product duplication. We will be introducing a scanner, which provides all necessary information about the product (mentioned above in literature review). introducing the phone app, which can scan item codes and display required information regarding products. The information shall then be recorded in a product database format. This ensures any code on a product will have its own information, which can be accessed by scanning the code that is input by users. Through this, original items are delivered to consumers. The end users are also given the opportunity to give their feedback to the company. Any expiry issue complaints must be sent directly to the company.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Initially QR code is generated. It can created by own like making a library or using a created library like Node.js.

When a code is generated then data is entered in it that’s had information about the product. Data encoded and saved into QR-Code and database too. It also helps us to create QR code images from text.
