Rapidoc is a mobile application and web-based project that provides a map for patients to find out the nearby doctors. The patient can easily make a request for an appointment. Patients have a choice to do short messages to the doctor and can consult with him at his home. The patient can reschedule the appointment easily. Patients have the choice to select the appointment slot. It has a notification service for patients.
This mobile application is also beneficial for doctors. They find more patients with this application. It is helpful in managing the appointment time for the patients. It also notifies the doctors about appointments.
Project Objectives
The purpose of this mobile application is to facilitate the patients who are not able to come to the doctor’s clinic or hospital just for appointment because it is time consuming and painful process. If you are new in some area you don’t know so much about the place this application will help you to find out the doctor near to your place or residence. It contains the messaging service.
The purpose of this service is to make communication easier with the doctor. Because sometimes it is difficult to approach the doctor at the clinic or hospital. With this service, you can easily convey your problem to doctors. Another purpose of this mobile application is to digitalize the medical field and people will not feel hesitation in telling their problems to doctors.
Project Implementation Method
This system is basically consisting of 3 major layers as Presentation Layer, Business Layer, and Data Layer. This mobile application project will be developed by using different tools such as android studio, MySQL, XML, Java, PHP, and SQL. With the help of these tools, we’ll develop our mobile app which is called Rapidoc.
We’ll develop our website using WordPress Content Management System that will contain all functionalities that rapidoc app contains. For this purpose, we’ll use a premium WordPress theme, plugins, domain name, and web hosting to host our website.
The purpose of developing both app and website is that users have multiple ways to access our system such as mobile users can access via the app and desktop users access the system via website.
Benefits of the Project
The main benefit of this project is that the patients who are not able to come to the doctor’s clinic or hospital just for appointment because it is time consuming and painful process. If you are new in some area you don’t know so much about the place this application will help you to find out the doctor near to your place or residence. It contains the messaging service.
Doctors and patients will receive notification on the appointment request and appointment confirmation respectively. A doctor can manage their free time slot for the patients. It will provide messaging service for better interaction opportunities for patients. Not only maintain the upcoming appointment record. It also maintains the feedback of patients for the doctors.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
This project is basically based on mobile applications and web applications.
This system is basically consisting of 3 major layers Presentation Layer, Business Layer, and Data Layer. The output of the architecture diagram is that it tells us about the main components of the software whether it is hardware or software components.
This mobile application project will be developed by using different tools such as android studio, MySQL, XML, Java, PHP, and SQL. With the help of these tools, we’ll develop our mobile app which is called Rapidoc.
Also, we’ll develop our website using WordPress Content Management System. So, the final delivery will be a mobile application and a website.
