Intelligent Obstacle Human Detection and Navigational Smart Stick Based On Deep Learning for Blind People
The Objective of this project is to encourage visually impaired people and to remove all the difficulties which they are faces every day to remove the dependency of blind on other people, to provide security they don’t know what might come up their way suddenly and might get hurt, through this stick they can travel with same confidence as sighted people, this intelligent stick is recognizing objects and human beings without internet connectivity and measures the distance between objects and smart stick. Blind and Visually impaired People find difficulties while detecting the obstacles in front of their way, during walking on road, which make it dangerous for them to identify and recognize objects as well human beings by name in front of their path. For this, this smart Stick is a Proposed solution our This framework is intended to act like an artificial vision, this device is used to help the blind and visually impaired people while traveling with same confidence as sighted people. This system is consists of microcontroller (Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+), and a camera the blind man uses a button to capture the image and this image sends to Raspberry pi, Raspberry pi process the image using Mobile net SSD algorithm and compares it with the give data set, if the object is founded in the dataset it tells the name of object to the blind, after pressing the button it also detects the human being if founded in database it tells the name of human being to the blind. The stick measures the distance between objects and Smart Walking Stick by Ultrasonic sensor. Keeping all this in mind this stick is useful for blind and visually impaired People for their safety and freedom form other person at all the time.
Objectives
Our this project has Following Objectives which are given below
1. This Intelligent stick will identify and recognize objects
2. This intelligent stick will Recognize the Object without internet activity
3. This intelligent stick recognize people. Which are in it’s database.
4. This intelligent stick will detect the Distance from the object.
Under the implementation of Intelligent start stick, there are several steps to be done, first and the very important step we Installed Raspbian Operating System to the Raspberry pi 3 Model B. which is the Most important step for this project. Before installing the Raspbian to Raspberry Pi We Should Connect our Raspberry pi with Laptop Display. After connecting Raspberry pi With Laptop Display a Pre Trained Model Mobile Net SSD is embedded into Raspberry pi for Obstacle Recognition and Detection at this way another Algorithm is Embedded on Raspberry pi for Human Face Detection with Compares the Images with their own dataset, a camera module is integrated with pi for capturing image and comparing it with Database a library of python is Used for text to speech transformation named as Python Text to Speech (Pyttsx). And a ultrasonic sensor is used to Measure the distance between Object and Smart stick.

As our work is in Progress at the final delivery of our Smart Stick. This stick will be as much intelligent as it will identify and recognize the obstacle and human beings without internet connection with the help of deep learning and our this intelligent smart stick will measure the distance between the obstacle and smart stick
