Today we have come to identify so many issues and problems related to the growth of population all around the world. One of these relate to transportation as people need to commute from place to place constantly. Employees, for instance, need to shuttle from their work place to their home, and students need to go back and forth to school etc.A lot of times, people would have a spare spot in their car and could give a ride to someone heading to the same direction. However, the problem that exists today can be defined as the lack of coordination and communication between these two parties.

Savari –a ride share application is an android application solves the above issue. This is done by sharing car journeys so that more than one person travels in the car leading to a considerable reduction of each person’s transportation costs but also offering numerous benefits that touch upon all aspects of the society from environmental to financial ones. Generally, there are two types of people who participate in ride share activities.one “captians” who have vehicles available for commuting and who want to share their vehicles with other commuters, and second“ passengers” who are looking for a ride with drivers. Both the drivers and the passengers must participate in a two-sided matching in order to address all participants’ needs.

People can use this application to Pre-book Savari (cab) for the inter-city and intra-city traveling and have a ride at their door step. They don’t need to travel to the terminals and get waited for buses. So, people can save time by using Savari. With savari they can make their ride enjoyable while talking with fellow persons. It is good way to save on fuel consumption. One of the most important benefits of savari is saving of money not only in terms of fueling but also wear and tear ride will be reduced to great extent.And it is beneficial for both for passenger and savari owner as well.

Project Objectives

• Time Saving as we provide ride at door step.

• Less Fuel consumption as more than two users would ride in the same vehicle.

• Make it affordable by dividing the fuel equally between the users.

Project Implementation Method

The chosen methodology for this project is a waterfall model. Besides, this project seems quite rigid, and we do not expect many changes from the original idea.
