The project which also involve designing and development of Solar Tracking system has totally exposed to a better way of software and hardware architecture that blend together for interfacing purposes. As a result, tracking was achieved.
The system designed was a single axis tracker. While dual axis trackers are more efficient in tracking the sun.
Dual trackers are most suitable in regions where there is a change in the position of the sun.

This project is to keep the solar photovoltaic panel perpendicular to the sun throughout the year in order to make it more efficient. The solar photovoltaic panel takes astronomical data as reference and the tracking system as the capability to always point the solar array towards the sun . the vertical and horizontal motion of the panel is obtain by taking altitude angle and azimuth angle as reference. Also this project is to clean dust from photovoltaic panel by using cleaning brush that solar panel work efficiently.
The source of the project used is 5V maximum to avoid the Arduino from damage. The LDR will detect the sunlight and actuate the servo motor . Normally, solar panel only absorb the light energy as it places. Then, after the light sensor added to the near solar panel, the servo motor which act as an actuator then moves the solar panel to follow the sunlight. If the dust presence detected on the solar panel, the sensor will detect it and actuate the cleaning brush to remove from the solar panel . The sensor is used to detect dust as an input Basically, the Arduino is used to program the circuit and setting the servo motor.
