AUTOMATIC VERTICAL CAR PARKING SYSTEM FINGER PRINT BASED
Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject Summary•The Automated Vertical Car Parking System had successfully been designed and developed.
•The mechanical model has been designed and the software as well as the control circuit has been implemented successfully.
•It demonstrates the working of the planned automated car parking system.
•The control strategy for the traffic flow to the smart car parking system was designed using Arduino.
•A demonstration has been done for 6 cars.
•Stepper motor is used to provide movements to transport the vehicle in the parking system.
•No need to spend months building new stories to increase your lot capacity.
•After the civil work and cabling is done, you can start using Smart Parking in just 5-7 days.

Project Objectives•Vertical cycle series parking system covers small area, is flexible, and can be set up independently, can be attached into building, and can be modified with more than one combination.
•Moreover, small vertical cycle series parking equipment can be installed in the living area, besides the building, that can help,-save the land space.
•Fast and Rapid, parking and retrieval of the car
•Vertical type parking system is economical that can save the cost of purchasing land considerably.
Vertical circulating mechanical parking system neither requires forced ventilation, nor large-area lightning, hence it helps save, power consumption only 35% of the common underground parking garage
Project Implementation Method•This project deals with manufacture of a prototype of Automatic Vertical Car Parking System.
•These are the best parking systems to park max 6 cars in floor space of two cars on the ground level.
•This has a vertical structure supporting a car cradle hanging on the vertical chain conveyor.
•Car entry & exit are from ground level. Any car can be parked or retrieved independently without disturbing other cars.
•The system has easy-to-operate electric panel as in the lift to call for empty pallet or call for parked car.
•Smart parking system is designed to provide effective management of car parking.
The entire process is controlled by Arduino by using fingerprint sensor
Benefits of the Project•Parking twice the number of cars in the same space as a conventional garage.
•Lower operation costs and overhead.
•Traditional parking garages are dark scary places, in proposed system the driver and passengers are not allowed into the parking area resulting in:
•No car accidents
•Convenience: Ground level easy access
•No browsing for free park space
•No searching for your car
•When the light will be off then we switch the system on battery.
•Battery is used for overcome the load shedding effect.
No problem of load shedding
Technical Details of Final Deliverable•The project Automated Vertical Parking is designed to permit just 6 cars.
•The proposed Project Automatic Vertical Car Parking System is a project which uses Arduino mega 2560 as its brain.
•The system comprises of fingerprint sensor, IR sensor, Stepper motor, LCD, chain and sprocket mechanism.
•When the car is placed on the pallet at the ground, IR sensor detects its presence and the fingerprint sensor via Arduino to get biometric identification of the driver.
•After getting the fingerprint, Arduino allows the motor to rotate in required direction to park the car.
•This leaves an empty parking space available at the ground level for the next car to be parked on.
When the user comes to retrieve the car, he must have to give his fingerprint verification to the fingerprint sensor
