Water Distribution Control
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThe residents of our country have been suffering very badly with water deficiency in the last couple of years. Clean and safe water is almost inaccessible. Over the last decade, Water Smart Metering programs have been introduced in several cities worldwide to continuously monitor water consumption at the single household level. Our country lags way behind in the field of Water Distribution Management. The future challenges posed by growing population demands, constrained sources of water supply and climate change impacts are expected to require more and more integrated procedures for effectively supporting residential water demand modeling and management. The central idea of the project is to save water from wastage and provide a smart & un-interrupted supply clean water to the consumer.
Project ObjectivesThe primary objective of the project is to save water from wastage and provide Un-interrupted supply clean water to the consumer. We are developing a Smart Water Distribution Control System at the household level that would be reliable, efficient and economical for the consumer.
Project Implementation MethodThe IoT based Water Distribution Control System that smartly works through electronically controlled water valves, monitoring sensors, and water pumps. Monitoring sensors monitor whether the water is crystal clear or not, also it would measure the water level in both, the reservoir and the consumer’s water storage tank.
Benefits of the ProjectThe system will supply a limited quantity of water per day to each consumer’s storage tank. Each user will stay updated about water quality and the water level of his storage tanks. The System will provide RealTime information regarding the total usage of water and the corresponding amount that will be due. If a user needs more water, he would send a request to the system, so that the System supply more water charging the consumer accordingly.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe Smart Water Distribution Control System is applicable at the household level would be reliable, efficient and economical for the consumer. The System would save water from being wasted and would provide Un-interrupted supply clean water to the consumer.
