The debut of this project is its basic cause of action was to put the presence of teachers, students & management people in a deactivated and corporate method.

In an institute or organization, the attendance of any teacher, working people or student on allowed time, its freebase on allowed time, an entry of assigned candidate, ban of any exotic person, to apply attendance of any teacher or working people after their transaction, To apply attendance on the allowed time by a student, To let in the attendance instead of someone else

            Are becoming an antipathetic, demure, & vital problem.

Keeping forward all these issues this project will apply the attendance of any student, teacher, or any working person. Through the Web Camera Device, the Facial Detection of teacher, student, or working person will apply the attendance which will be more time-consuming.

Additionally, we can use this system for security purposes such as ATM machine authentication, Airports, or hospitals.  The data provisioned by the institute will recognize either the person is a student, teacher, working people, or any other exotic which will be confirmed according to the usable security of the institute.

Our primary goal is to help the lecturers, improve and organize the process of track and manage student attendance and the employees working in any organization. Additionally, we seek to:

  1. Collect the minimal dataset of the people such as teachers, students, and working people or members to mark their identification.
  2. Mount the camera in a real-time environment to capture the images of the people at work.
  3. Design the visual-based algorithm to match the facial images with the stored database whether the person is present in the database or not.
  4. Connect the attendance or security software with the visual authentication system to mark their attendance.
  5. Produce monthly reports for the lectures and attending office.
  6. Calculate absenteeism percentage and send reminder messages to people at work.

We will implement the “Visual-based Autonomous Attendance Management System” in any organization where the attendance system is running manually.

METHODOLOGY

Marking the attendance of students/employees/workers in any organization using face recognition. Requirements to run the project:

  1. We will use the deep learning mechanism to train the neural network algorithm to recognize people in the images.
  2. We collect the minimal data of the authorized people either in educational institutes or any other organization.
  3. The system will take the authorized people as positive images and train the network to mark them as authorized people.
  4. Mount a camera at the proper position in the organization to capture the images in real-time.
  5. The system will take the input images and mark them as true or false person. The Administration has a privilege to look after the attendance, adding new individuals & can be deleted un-necessary data as well.
  6. The database will be connected with the system to mark the attendance of the people and generate the report.
  7. We also need a graphics processing unit (GPU) for the fast processing of the bigger data.

Autonomous Attendance Management System is beneficial in the following ways:

  • The proposed method is cheaper to use.  You do not need RFID, ID-card, or any printing device to do the job.  Only need a camera to make the system work.
  • It is a computerized process by providing a system that records & manages students' attendance automatically without needing to teacher’s interference.
  • It can be connected with the national database easily on basis of image-based recognition to authorize to enter to someplace.
  • It is more time-saving and easy to use.
  • It manipulates and recognizes the faces in real-time using live video data, can be used in ATM, Airport and other security entrance.
  • It uses multiple face detection.
  • It is used for multi-purpose software (Facial recognition in images and in the video is done in it).
  • It can help us to recognize and mark the attendance of Twins.
  • It is helpful to stop the Biasness & Favorable Attendance.

In the Final Deliverable, we will propose an “Autonomous Attendance Management System” which will be comprised of a Hardware/Software Integrated System.

  1.  Set the required equipment such as a graphical processing unit (GPU), Visual display, and other accessories.
  2. Model, tune and test the deep learning method.
  3. Collect the dataset and train on the deep learning model.
  4. Mount the camera in real-time to recognize the Student from a distance.
  5. After detecting, it will detect the Image with the dataset present in the records.
  6. The Final Product may include the use of GPU in the System. If time & Budget permits otherwise we will keep it for future work.
  7. Once, the Detection and Recognition (either in Image form or in Video form) done, then the Attendance will be marked.
