Project Summary

Providing the best Vet consultant app. This app will allow the pet owner to get consulted online and have an appointment with the veterinarian if needed. Moreover, this app also helps people to understand which medication is suitable for their pets. Our goal is to provide the pets with the care they deserve.

Project Objectives

The objective of this application is to solve the following problems:

  • Pet owners have to go to the clinic to consult with a veterinarian
  • Pet owners have no or less knowledge about nearby pet clinics
  • Getting appointments is a very extensive task for owners
  • People do not know what to do in emergency situations
  • Most pet clinics close at 5-6 pm, pet owners have difficulty in consultation after that time
  • People have less medicine knowledge (which proper medicine to give to their pets when they are feeling sick)
  • People are unaware of the current/present pet diseases that are occurring around them.

Project Implementation Method

In our 4 years of study for this degree, different courses like Software Engineering, Database Designing, and Mobile App Development have been studied and will be helpful in the development of this Project. Database Design and Analysis play an important role during the development and implementation of this project.

Benefits of the Project

The trend of keeping pets is growing day by day and so is the need for their health. The goal is to create a network between the pet owner and the doctor. The market scope of this project is very large. The target is to hit a huge percentage of people in society. In this world everyone has smartphones and no one wants to compromise on a pet’s health. The module on establishing the link between the pet owner and the veterinarian community is very useful for everyone.

There is a major technology gap between people and hence this application is created to fill the technology gap between them. By doing so, the basic health needs of pet owners will be met.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Our final product compromises a software application that can solve the problem of pet owners and help in the betterment of pets' health.

This project has four modules.

  • Vet Module
  • Pet Module
  • Medicine Module
  • Hospital Module

Vet and Pet modules provide consultation between pet owners and pet doctors. While the medicine module provides details about the most important medicines which pets needed and the hospital module provides information about nearby pet hospitals.
