Upgradation of SIBA Solar Electrical Vehicle
In recent times, the electrical vehicles have gained boundless attention due to there multiple advantages. The summary of this FYP is the Upgradation of SIBA Electric Vehicle (EV), by adding some new features that will be very efficient and energy saving. This illustrates the flow that how the charge generated by an array of solar panel is received and its flow in and out of a battery pack is to be controlled using a microcontroller based charge controller to ensure efficient storing of charge in a battery pack. Additionally, Plug-in charging from a single phase AC will also be used to charge the battery. The stored energy would be divulged to an electric motor which would run the EV.
The main objective of this project is the upgradation of an already build electric vehicle at sukkur IBA(SIBA) which has no plug-in charging, no braking assembly and also lakes speed controller. By adding plug-in charging, regenerative braking and motor controller, SIBA EV will become more efficient and usable that will allow transport for people travelling a certain amount of distance every day, for instance, the Distance between the campus 1 and campus 2 of Sukkur IBA. The shuttle would be able to commute safely a maximum round trip distance of 1-5km for example from City point to IBA, which is considered to be one of the largest office travelling distances.
