Project Summary

Our product Smart Scout is an innovative solution for detecting a person whose health in grave danger and informing concerned persons about that danger. It is a smart device that application system that provide patient care and health monitoring 24/7. This Smart Scout bracelet capable of reading a human's Pulse Rate, blood Pressure, SpO2 and body-temperature. In case of any danger the smart device connected to the bracelet will automatically get prompt notification and send SMS (in case of mobile phone) to patient’s doctor, nurse and attendant. Smart Scout is a start-up of Pakistan which is highly inspired with the cause of stroke, cardiac arrest and heart attack. According to a statistical research conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The leading cause of death was heart diseases while stoke ranked 5th. Some of the causes of death had the same thing in common, they were quite unpredictable.Senior cardiologists from across the country participated in the seminar, which was organized by the Pakistan Cardiac Society (PCS). They expressed concern over the increasing incidence of heart diseases in the country, particularly among the youth, and attributed it to lack of awareness. Heart diseases account for around 35 to 40 per cent of the total disease burden in Pakistan, said PCS President Major General Azhar Mehmood Kayani. Lack of awareness about lifestyles, food habits, body weight, and the importance of exercise and deep sleep is the major reason behind the increase in cardiovascular diseases in the country, he said. Industry and Competition: We are pioneer in our technology as commercial product in Pakistan. No one is doing what we are doing even there is no direct competitor in all over the Pakistan. But some similar products are using to solve this problem. Like smart watches, Fitness watches. This wrist band would be attached with an mobile application and data from patient's band would be sent to cloud which will using prediction algorithm can predict any abnormality before any emergency. in the cloud, data of the patient would collected every 30 sec. and notification about any sudden chage would be sent to doctor and care taker.

Project Objectives

Objective to work on this project is to help care takers to monitor condition of their family members who are suffering for cardiac issues, high blood pressure and are prone to sudden shoot of blood pressure.

Project Implementation Method

First step to implement this project is to design data center and data predictive system. Using machine learning algorithms, data collected from algorithm would be trained and then tested for accuracy. mobile application for android system would be built and tested for user friendliness and effectiveness. Design and size of wrist band is for the time being is, for the time being is not point of concern but accuracy of blood pressure, temperature and pulse rate, sending data to cloud is most important for deployement.

Benefits of the Project

Smart scout will help doctors and care taker to keep a constany eye on their loved ones and patients with out deploying large instruments and gears to the patients but rather a wrist band along with an application installed in their mobile phones can keep them aware of current situation of the patient. Advance machine learning algorithms can even predict any abnormality after analysing the data.

Complete project would be consist of a band and one mobile application which could be installed from android/apple store. wrist band consisting of sesors.
