The idea behind this project is to develop a smart parking system. The services provided by smart parking have become the essence of building smart cities. The proposed smart parking system  will be implemented using the mobile Application that provides user an easy way of finding a free parking space. The idea provides a solution to deal with problem of traffic congestion in commercial areas that unnecessarily consumes time, in this application the user can view various parking slots and check for the availability of slots. This application reduces the user’s effort and time of searching the parking slot and also avoids conjunction of traffic using internet of things (IOT).  The proposed system has many advantages, including detecting parking spaces using the Internet of Things. The system benefits from avoiding wasting time, reducing pollution and fuel consumption.
