This system will enable the farmers to control their tube well remotely.

Sensors will send data from the field to the cloud.

The mobile application will update the current status of the field.

Monitoring soil moisture will help farmers understand the actual soil water condition and how much their crops need to use. Soil moisture sensors enable in taking informed irrigation decisions on when to irrigate and how much water has to be supplied to avoid low-quality production.

Another section called farm management, allows farmers to save their farm information on the cloud.

Farmers can also use the crop scheduler function to help them keep track of all stages of the crop life cycle. Farmers will receive messages according to the schedule regarding upcoming crop stages. Forecast and disease alerts will also be sent through SMS. In addition to this, farmers can use the Flood and wind risk information to find the impact of flood and wind on their crop.

With the help of Smart Irrigation System, the farmer is geo-tagged in all fields. The precise location of the farm, the latest weather data & forecasts for Temperature / Rainfall / Humidity / Wind can be seen on the cloud portal and mobile application.

 Historical data for all these parameters are also available for farmers to analyze and draw insight. An instant alert in the form of SMS is sent regarding changing weather conditions.

 Soil information, field irrigation planning, optimizing soil choice and checking of plant or crop disease can also be available in addition to Smart Irrigation System.

This is probably the first time in Pakistan, whereby farmers will have the ability to stay in control of their produce, take calculated decisions based on statistical data to improve their profitability.

Project Objectives

Collect the miniaturization data of the field and make decision on the base of smart statistics..

Turn On and Off the tube well

Store Data on the cloud

Shows run time tube well and field status on a mobile application.

Make decision on the base of weather forecasting.

Do the calculations on data to manage fields.

Project Implementation Method

System will get the soil moisturizing data from sensors.

STM32 micro controller will be used for calculations

Raspberry pi4 will be used as a Gate way for communication between cloud and micro controller.

It will send the summarized data to cloud.

Cloud service will be used to store the history of the data.

Weather condition of the field or area where field lie will be available on the cloud on the base of location.

  • By monitoring soil moisture, farmers can now optimize their water usage, increase produce yield, produce high-quality crops, reduce water resource degradation and save a lot of money.
  • It would help them to make informed decisions on irrigation and be cost-effective too.
  • This smart irrigation system can be used to meet the demand of the food in market to accomplish them through eliminating the irrigation flaws.
  • It will also help save water by eliminate the element of extra water evaporation and water overflow control.
  • This project is focusing on the reforms in the agriculture sector through innovation and using advance Iot technology.
  • It will help the farmers to save their labor cost and time.
  • It will increase the yield of the crop through maintaining the exact status of moisturization for every crop.
