Firewall Migration Suite aims to bring together all the Vendors of various companies onto the same platform. This will ensure easy migration by eliminating the compatibility
often faced by Engineers and Professionals, working in Networking and IT fields. The major objective is to ease the work of our clients and end customers by reducing time
delay and hurdles often faced while conversion of firewall configuration from one vendor to another. It will ensure collaboration of local and well known vendors under
one umbrella. This will provide an opportunity to low scale and less known vendors to exhibit their services to the global community. Further it will provide functionality of analyzing logs of firewalls, the purpose of it to generate information about security threat attempts that can occur on a network where the firewall sits. This log analyzer will help track the traffic coming in and out of the firewall, which can allow you to view logs in real time and use the resulting insights to improve network defenses.

Project Objectives

The tool aims to provide fast, secure and overall mostly painless migration between different vendors. Achieving 70-80 % automation configuration is a target with a high accuracy rate.
Security will be further implemented in firewall configuration to analyze logs and identifying the loopholes. This will ensure elimination of security breaches that may occur in the network.
This will bring up vendors which are not well known in the global community.
The tool will provide support to more vendors in future

Project Implementation Method

Analyze:
First analyzing the input firewall configuration to ensure consistency by identifying key existing firewall functions such as network interfaces, security firewall features, logging etc will be translated in a consistent approach to the new firewall device.
Migrate:
The migrate configuration in which the existing firewall configuration file is converted and translated into new firewall configuration. In this process firewall objects and groups are optimized, unused objects are remove to ensure consistency.
Validate:
The validate phase of firewall migration ensures the configuration is tested, validated and sanitized to ensure there is no delta between existing firewall and new firewall configuration. In this phase it is preferable that migrated
configuration is uploaded to new firewall to ensure there are no errors
