Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryAs we all know, most of the present energy demand is met by fossil fuels and nuclear power plants. A small part is met by renewable energy technologies such as the wind, solar, hydro etc.According to the law of conservation of energy, energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. The purpose of this project is to utilize the wasted wind energy created by a moving vehicle along with the solar power. This smart utilization can help in powering street lights to powering homes if more of these are located in a close proximity.Vertical solar wind energy tower is built to seize the most common renewable resource the wind power.This turbine extracts energy from oncoming traffic.Moreover, the solar panel located on the top of the device allows to generate additional electricity from sunlight.

Project Implementation MethodThis project will be implemented on road sides .As different vehicles will pass from near it,a gush of wind will be produced by these moving vehicles which will in turn rotate the wind turbine producing electricity.Also the solar panel located on the top will also provide electricity extracted from falling sunlight.
Benefits of the Project| Probably the most highlighted benefit of this project would be that it is producing electricity using green resources.More sophisticated versions of this project in future might be able to power individual houses which saves on cost as well as prevent the use of unfriendly resources. |

Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final deliverable of this project will be a prototype that will produce upto 110 W.Simulations are also included.
