Process Automation of a system could be a fashionable platform in today’s world. Everything
we tend to see around is being automated or has been automated. Some universities are still
using conventional non-autonomous procedures for the Final Year Project (FYP) process
submission, analysis, marking, reviewing, and report generation in the 21st century. The
present manual system is tedious, untidy, and time overwhelming with a lack of potency and
it does not match standards. The current manual management of the FYP system is tedious
and time-consuming. Most importantly, it does not match the standards of communication
remarks and milestones, which is very important in the FYP process. This project aims to
develop an automated platform that facilitates the FYP process for universities which helps
the students, supervisor, and project coordinator. The main objective of this project is to
engage all parties in one collaborative online system systematically as a medium for
exchanging information for FYP. Developing the system involves the knowledge of web
design, web setup, database design, database setup, and server setup. FYP process automation
will be developed in open-source environment users can easily access the system from home
and anywhere. The success of the FYP System will reduce the weight of FYP coordinators,
simplify the protocol and increase the performance of all the management. All the participants
can collaborate and exchange information online.

Project Objectives

To make the management of the FYP process easy and prevent the loss of any information generated during the process. The idea is to manage the FYP process in a paperless manner. Some of the basic objectives are;

Project Implementation Method

This section describes the materials and methods that were used to complete this project. It includes some of the tools used for developing the application for this project. This application will be implemented on Visual Studio Code and C#, java used as a programing language, HTML as a Markup language, SQL Server used for backend programming, and using Bootstrap for CSS and page layout.
Access Levels:

Policies: The FYP process system is designed with the function of exchanging information between students and faculty. For students, the system will have the function to view all the available topics of projects and supervisors, and selecting the chosen one. Students may also view the supervisor’s profile and view the status of their submissions. The FYP coordinators will be granted full access to this system to manage the titles and allocations, also assigning the examiners. The faculty may view the marks and will post any important announcements. The system will keep a record of progress, track attendance during presentations, and maintain various levels of access to users. This system indicates the need for a connection between the users and the system. This system is proposed as the need to enhance the process and management system efficiency.
Project Performance Evolution: It could make it easier for faculty that can view and check the progress of students. Faculty can give their remarks throughout the project and students can view the progress throughout the year. The system will generate reports, keep records of progress, and track attendance throughout the activities. FYP coordinator can upload the aggregated result. Students and Faculty can view the result.
Faculty Arranges Meeting: Faculty can also hold meetings at the same time with multiple groups and interleaving to respond to questions from different groups at the same period of time, this can save time in meetings and become more efficient in communication.
Notification System: The faculty shall send an e-mail message to the students to report any problems. Students have Deadlines, announcements, Email alerts, notifications & presentation schedule.
