Locomotion is one the basic needs of humans which is lacked by people having limited abilities which render them to use wheelchair for moving from one place to another. The purpose of this project is to serve these people by automating the process of moving in any direction using different methods.

The purpose of this project is to serve these people by automating the process of moving in any direction using different methods.
Here we propose predefined path wheelchair with an android application. In this system we set a path that is predefined in our wheelchair. We are operating our wheelchair through an android app. We can also operate our wheelchair through joystick. We can manually operate our wheelchair with the help of android app and also we set the predefined path to reach the desired destination. We are using ultrasonic sensor for collision avoidance
Also the system consists of emergency help features for the disabled. If the person is in trouble or needs help the person just needs to press a button and his gsm module will automatically sent a message to his/her loved ones.
Project Objectives- To help such person who can not walk with their own legs.
- To allow the user to provide direction commands to the wheelchair through a android app
- To operate the wheelchair motors in order to achieve desired movement.
- To allows the disabled person to operate the wheelchair manually by android application and as well as through predefined path
- In case of accident the sms will generate to a loved one
- Detection of obstacles to avoid collision
In this system we are making a wheelchair which is working through arduino and also the wheelchair operates manually or automatically both. We can also operate our wheelchair through joystick too. and also we set the predefined path to reach the desired destination. We set the path from point A to point B and the wheelchair automatically reach on the respective destination. We are using ultrasonic sensor for collision avoidance.
The system consists of emergency help feature for the disabled. If the person is in trouble or needs help, the person just needs to press a button and his GSM module will automatically generate the sms and sent to his/her loved ones.
Benefits of the Project- With the help of this he or she can can go any where without the help of the human.
- It can also help by provide direction commands to the wheelchair through an Android App
- If the person is uncomfortable to operate wheelchair manually so he can also operate wheelchair by using predefined path
The final deliverable will be an hardware/software integrated system. The system will provide a concept to allow the user to provide direction commands to the wheelchair through an android app, to receive these commands and then operate the wheelchair motors in order to achieve desired movement, The system also work automatic as we set the predefined path to the wheelchair and the wheelchair reach the respective destination from point A to point B, The system automatically sends the sms message to a person if he fall from the wheel chair.
