Mobile Electric Vehicle Charging Station

Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles are increasing every day but due to a smaller number of stationary EV charging stations & their property of being stationary, most of EVs are inaccessible to their charging stations. Therefore, Customer do not buy EV because of limited numbers of stationary EV

Project Summary

Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles are increasing every day but due to a smaller number of stationary EV charging stations & their property of being stationary, most of EVs are inaccessible to their charging stations. Therefore, Customer do not buy EV because of limited numbers of stationary EV Charging station. Which decreases sales market of EV. In this project we will design an autonomous mobile EV charger, which will get location (nearer to Parking lot) from customer’s mobile phone & then drive its self towards received location. After approaching to location our Charger will provide a charging plug connector which will be providing Controllable Constant Current, Constant Voltage.          

Project Objectives

Followings are Project Objectives of Mobile Electric Vehicle Charging station

  • WIFI Connected Line Following Robot (LFR)

A Wi-Fi connected Robot which can drive it’s self towards user location using IR and Ultra sonic sensors.

  • Lead acid Battery (12V, 50Ah) Charger

A 12V Battery Charger to charge battery bank of our project & a protection circuit for battery in case of Under/Over voltage condition.

  • Li-Ion Battery (3.7V, 10Ah) Charger

A 3.7V Li-Ion Battery charger using 12-4V Buck converter to charge Li-Ion battery from 12V Lead acid battery

A Controllable current circuit which can limit current up to 1-0.1A.

A Battery Monitoring system (BMS) for billing & Monitoring.

ESP8266 WIFI Module

12-24V Boost Converter

A Strong Chassis which can travel weight up to 100Kg of Battery bank .

  • Lead Acid battery (12V, 50Ah) Charger

A 220-12V Transformer & Rectification.

A Under/Over Voltage protection circuit for 12V Lead acid battery.

  • Li-Ion Battery (3.7V, 10Ah) charger

12-4V Buck Converter using Arduino for Controllable Voltage

1-0.1A Controllable Current circuit

Battery Monitoring system for Billing purpose

Benefit of Project

Our Project Mobile Electric Vehicle Charging station can charge Electric Vehicle standing within Parking lot. This Project is solution of low numbered EV chargers problem. Electric Vehicle sales market is effecting due to lack in numbers of EV Chargers & in this way Our project can help to increase EV Sales market

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

    • LFR system which can receive location from Customer by using Wifi connected system and then drive our EV charger by following line to Received location using servo motors.
    • Battery Charging/Discharging Circuit which can provide Controllable CC, CV using Lead Acid Battery 12V, 50AH, Arduino UNO (12V), SI IGBT for Inverter & BUCK/BOOSTER and Push-Pull DC/DC Converter
