This project "Mobile Hydro Power Plant" is a portable mini hydro powerplant based on woking principle of extracting energy from flowing water and converts it into electric power.
Water with specific flowing speed hits the aerofoil shaped blades , lift force is produced and the shaft rotates. The shaft inturn rotates the dynamo which gives electic energy in return.
project objectives:
1- To extract 150-200W electric power.
2- To have a portable design.
3- Cost effective.
4- Easy to use
5- low maintainence.
6- Enviroment friendly
1-calculaton stage:
With known parameters like required power(200W), Avg velocity of flowing water and density of water , the bending moments and stresses on the shaft is calculated which intun gives us shaft specifications. similarly by considering the axial and radial forces on overall system , calculations is carried out and a specific bearing is selected from catalog which meets our requirements and the same way frame calculations is done.
2- concept design and prototype stage:
after calculations a concept design is made using (solidworks 2021) then a simple prototype is made, tested and performance is analysed. Through performing several experiments helpful data is collected and is used for further improvments.
3-Final stage;
The finalized design is now under construction and will be completed soon. On completion will meet all the targets inshallah.!
This project will benefiy all the needy people who live on rural areas near sea-side. Moreover as this is a portable, cost effective, easy to use, low maintainence required and enviroment friendly project so it is a good choice for all the tourist when an emergency power is needed at camping spots.
