With the recent advances in Internet of Things in our daily life the need for automation has increased especially for the quality control of drinking water. As you know peoples always complain that water which is delivered by the water supply or ground water is contaminated so we have designed an IOT based application “SDWD (IOT based SMART DRINKING WATER DEVICE WITH ANDROID APPLICATION)” to check water quality total dissolved solids in water which are harmful for our health if value is increased, i.e. Above 0 and at least /below 1200 respectively is safe water to drink and temperature should be less than 55°C to check the water with sensor.

The microcontroller unit is a significant part of the system developed for water quality measurement because The Arduino Mega consumes low power, and it is a small size, where the size is a good use for a crucial point-of-sale technology criterion. Both sensors collect the data in the form of analog signals; the MCU has an on-chip VCC that translates the sensor analog signals into the digital format for further study. So, to get this analog output from the sensor, the sensor's analog output of will be connected to the MCU's analog pins. Both sensors data processed by the MCU and updated to the Firebase server using the Wi-Fi data communication module ESP32-Wroom (NodeMCU) to the central server.
Whether your home's water is supplied by a water supply or ground water it is important to understand what TDS ratio of your water is. By having your water tested, you will learn about the quality of your water, if any contaminants are present in water you will know is it safe for drinking or not.
Through the application you will get the information about water quality with TDS values and with these values you will know which values are best, good, fair or bad for drinking purpose
