Now a days electronic devices have higher mobility. Electricity have frequent use in our daily life. Batteries are being used for storage of electricity. Electricity storage are fueling the use of batteries over wide range. Production of batteries will increase by nearly 500% in future to meet the growing demand for clean energy technologies. They have been increasingly used further for various applications, such as small mobility vehicles, stationary batteries for HEMS (Home Energy Management System), trucks/buses and industrial machinery. The improvements in the electric devices range, charging efficiency, safety, reliability, and lifetime are entirely dependent on the design and chemistry of the battery pack and its associated systems. Approximately 50% of premature battery failures is caused by Deep discharge, heat, fast charging, and overcharging all accelerate the "aging" process. Moreover, Batteries are very susceptible to extreme temperature, Charging at a low voltage or Charging at high voltage and over charging. Keeping in view these problems, to deal with these exponentially increasing issues along with other mentioned challenges. One of the advanced and innovative methodology is developing a battery management system. This is a more efficient method where the health of battery is sustained. This results in decreasing the aging process and enhance the battery life. In this project, state of charge, (SOC) state of health, (SOH) for monitoring the state of battery different sensors and microcontrollers will be used to visualize data on IoT based Dashboard.
The objective of this project is use of the Internet of Things (IoT) to track the battery performance of electric vehicles. An electric car is obviously fully reliant on a battery for power.
The project is based on the implementation of an IoT supervision system for the monitoring of important parameters of a Battery. The simulation of the proposed project is done in MATLAB. In the simulation, a 12V battery is used to observe the different parameters of the battery using different sensors and display the result on the LCD. This system is set up where the batteries are mostly used such as LESCO, Radio Pakistan, etc. In scenario-1, during charging of the battery, the rectifier covert’s AC to DC voltage (12V) voltage and starts the charring. When the battery is fully charged through Arduino different sensors check the battery charging level and display the result on the LCD. In scenario-2, the same procedure is when the battery is fully discharged and the result is on LCD as well as sending notification on mobile.
This project is very applicable to batteries and where the batteries are used. This is a project link with the IoT that the performance of the battery send to the cloud and get the notification on to the mobile. This system is very easily installed and easy to maintain. And require a small area with the installation of low cost, Battery monitoring is essential to any industry that relies on batteries to provide backup power. Usage of battery monitoring will eliminate the risk of system failure. Some of the reasons why battery monitoring is critical. Monitoring helps in avoiding costly downtime and protects the business from loss.
in this project there are multiple techniques are used in this system LCD and wifi modules are added when the battery is fully charged this system indicates on the LCD and also shows the notification on your phone and display all the parameter of the battery.
