Instance Segmentation Tracking is simultaneous detection, segmentation and tracking of instances in an image. We perform this task by using high accuracy deep learning algorithms of detection and segmentation like R-FCN and Mask Scoring R-CNN respectively.
Project Objectives
The goal of Instance Segmentation Tracking is simultaneous detection, segmentation and tracking of instances in an image. Instance segmentation includes identification of boundaries of the objects at the detailed pixel level. It generates a bounding box and a segmentation mask for every instance of that category in the image.
Project Implementation Method
The project is implemented in Python, using Anaconda platform. Hardware requirement includes GPUs, high capacity RAM and cameras. Proposed solution uses combination of two algorithms for instance segmentation. Region-based Fully Convolutional Networks R-FCN (for detection) and Mask Scoring Region-based Convolutional Networks Mask Scoring R-CNN (for Segmentation) to yield desired results.
Benefits of the Project
Instance segmentation tracking is highly useful in the field of medical imaging like in robotic surgery. Robotic surgery is done using robotics systems. Instance segmentation tracking is used to track cells in microscopy images. It is also used in MRI and CT scans to detect tumors. Instance segmentation tracking can also be used in video surveillance.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
Our final deliverable will be Desktop Based Application.Technically, Nvidia GPU RTX 2070,PCI Founder Edition 8GB , IR Camera, USB are required hardware involved in Instance Segmentation Tracking in Images.
