- Restaurants businesses are the one of the most growing business in Pakistan these days. Most of the restaurants are might successful in serving good quality of the food but most of them haven’t satisfied their customers in on-time delivering.
- You may have experience this that during special festives like Eid, holi, new year etc. people through parties to their friends and families and mostly they do prefer Restaurants for these occasions. Most of the time Restaurants become over crowded on those days, which results hours and hours of waiting to place an order because of shortage of waiters, also a communication barrier b/w customers and staff as sometimes not accurate order is placed .
- On the other side customers who are waiting for their turn to get a table and have their meal have no clue that how much they have to wait for their turn. These kind of ambience do convert your special only. occasions as well as your quality time with friends and family in to worst memories.
- Also for startup restaurant businesses it’s not easy or profitable to hire 50+ waiters on monthly basis. So we are encouraged to design automated restaurant management system which can be operate by 1 or 2 people
- So in our proposed system we are providing the solution for waiting customers as well as those customers who sit and wait hours & hours for their meal to serve because of poor managment on crowded days. Also as for startups businesses it is not healthy practices to invest on huge no. of waiters/staff just to operate their indoor restaurat , this system will help them to digitally manage orders , so that not any inconvenience may happen bw staff and customer.

Aim of this project is to provide a user friendly experience to customers, well managed record keeping system to the manager and also to minimize the communication barrier between staff and customers. In pursuance of the mentioned aim following objectives are set: - QR based contactless menu will be developed by which customer just have to scan the QR and will be directed to the internal menu of the restaurant.
- The moment when the order is confirmed by staff a reverse counter of preparation food will be sent on the customer’s device as well as on waiting screen
- Add/update/delete dining and menu options in admin panel
- Create database to store order info and total bill for the bill receipt
- kitchen panel where staff will generate the bill receipt and receive feedback.
- Admin panel where staff can add, update and delete items from the menu.
- Admin can add more tables and generate their QR-code for every table and print it
- total bill report of daily weekly monthly earning will be shown.

This proposed system will be beneficial for customer, staff and also for Administration. this is how it will for for each of them: - customer
- As customer enters on restaurant , he/she can see free tables from waiting area screen and then navigate to the free table
- other case, if no any table is free he/she can see through on same waiting area screen that how much approximate time a table will take to be free.
- as soon as customer have his/her table they can directly point their smart phone's camera on QR which is attached with each table(with table no.) which will direct them on restaurant internal menu page, from which they can customize/made their order.
- After placing the order customer will receive total time (reverse) counter to prepare their meal on their smart phone by staff.
- after having done with the meal customer can send query of "bill please" from their smart phone, so that staff can come with bill receipt for payment or also yyou can directly pay your bill with card.

All businesses have started to digitize their marketing practices but still in Restaurants old/unattractive theme is going on as Traditionally Menu cards are following in Restaurants which are costly in general and are also not easily updateable also The increasingly competitive environment compels businesses to make innovations that can meet the customer demands and expectations while at the same time creating a competitive advantage. One of these innovations is the digital menus that set an example for experiential marketing. There is a range of different digital menu implementation that are used from fast-food restaurants to fine-dining restaurants. And for waiting customers there is always bad marketing strategy is used they are misguided mostly by the staff that they will have their dining free soon which is actually not a good practice for customers and no one has take a look on this issue. Furthermore, startups in this domain isn’t cost friendly as people don’t have the facility to operate their new businesses with few staff they have to hire no. of people on monthly basis for his/her business to simply (not perfectly) operate able. We are trying to develop Restaurant system with digital technology which will be beneficial for previous as well as startups also it will helps the restaurant to gain market interest. So, this projects introduces an idea of contactless QR-code digital menus which customer point and scan with their smartphone’s camera, taking them to an online digital menu where customers can place their orders directly in that browser menu which is sent to the restaurants’ POS system. These contactless menus are normally small table-top postcards/ stickers attached with each table. This replaces the need for physical menus – meaning a safer experience for everyone involved. There’s no app – it’s all found through a browser making it a simple experience for customers. . After ordering food from the browser menu, the reverse timer starts by the staff system which shows how much time is left for the order to be prepared. Same reverse time starts on the screen with the table number for the waiting customers outside which let them know about table vacancy. When the timer stops, customer will go to the counter to receive food which will reduce human (waiter) resource need for the restaurants. There will be an admin panel (dashboard) where restaurant can add edit update and delete items and prices in the menu and add tables along with their QR code generator. With this, we will also provide an inventory system in the panel to have a track of daily weekly and monthly customers and the earning. | | Final Deliverable of the Project |
