Project Summary

“Blockage Predictor for Angiography Videos” is an android based application that takes angiography video as input and detects the possible artery blockage detection using artificial intelligence mechanisms. The coronary arteries wrap around heart which may lead to swear disease like heart failure or heart attack. The application will involve a dataset that will be further pre-processed to handle duplicate and null records. It will be further trained for 80% records and then tested for remaining 20% records of dataset. The software automatically detects and indicates if there is blockage and encircle that specific area. It also zoom in the region for the sake of better understanding. Moreover, the video duration is reduced up to specific regions only where the blockage is prominent. The application is applicable at hospitals, labs and medical Centre for analyzing the angiography videos.

  2. Support remote access for doctor to evaluate angiography video using Cell-phone
  3. Reduce human error
  4. Minimize cost and improve accuracy
  5. Improve previous software

Project Implementation Method

  1. Collection of the dataset
  2. Preprocess dataset from radiologist that includes the labeling of the dataset
  3. Train model by using Machine Learning Algorithm
  4. Develop an Android App of the system and integrate it with trained model.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The android application takes Angiography video as an input. The application then converts video (15 fps) into images. It analyze images for blockages. After identification, application highlights blockage areas and calculates percentage of blockage. The marked images are merged together to make an animated video after confirmation from doctor or radiologist. A well formatted report is also generated.
