The increasing urbanization and a desire to move away from cars for motorized transportation are opening up more opportunities for alternative mobility devices.
Our project is to make an e-bike which is efficient in both power and as well as the mileage of the bike must be average with reasonable price of charging the batteries so that it can easily be used as a daily driver by every class of people. Specilly for the lower class people as we can clearly see the hike in the price of petrol globally.
Project ObjectivesE-BIKE project promotes clean and energy efficient vehicles, electric motorcyles (common name “E – bikes”), for delivery of goods and passenger transport among private and public bodies such as delivery companies, public administration and citizens in European urban areas, as an alternative to “conventionally fossil fuelled” vehicles.
The second objective is to have a powerfull e-bike which can carry heavy loads. beacause nowadays there are issues emerging that Evs cannot carry heavy load while having a good mileage and as well as mainting their power, speed.
Project Implementation MethodThe project is useful and can be used for within city daily travelling. They can satisfy the travelling need within few km areas. Their speed can be regulated precisely. However, the present challenge is increment in mileage per unit charge of a battery so that they can be used for long distance travelling. Implementation of charging stations and more importantly fast charging of batteries without affecting their life span are some of the challenging tasks in E- vehicle implementations.
Benefits of the Project1. Eco-friendly
They are eco-friendly and efficient. Just like touring by conventional bicycle, environmental benefits can be realized by substituting vehicle-based tours with touring by ebike. Since they run on rechargeable batteries and don’t burn any fuel, electric bicycles don’t release any harmful gases into the atmosphere.
2. Easy to use:
Ebikes are quick to master and make active holidays physically easier without taking away from the adventurous spirit of the trip. it is just like driving a battery driven toy car and does not need any expertise as there is no gear or clucth.
3. Can mean a more fun ride.
For many, choosing an ebike can mean a more relaxed journey where you can spend more time enjoying your surroundings than any noises due to mechanical engine. It just adds that extra comfort and ease.
We will be using a 2KW hub motor for more power. The controller will be having the ability of regenerative braking which will add extra mileage to the e-bike. The LCD meter will be giving the real time speed, battery indicator, as well as the odometer.
We can control the speed of the bike by programming the controller to a safety speed limit.
There is also a BMS attached to the battery performing the safe temperature monitoring, balance charging, preventing over heat of the cells.
There is also a security system through which we can lock and unlock the bike through a remote which will add extra security.
We can also be able to see the real time data, power usage, operating amperes and battery cells data on an android/IOS device application. which can be connected through bluetooth very easily.
