Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryOur project is about designing of low power ADC for image application. As image sensor is used in camera of mobiles and laptop. And ADC is used with image sensor to convert image signal into digital signal. And now technology is trying to make portable devices. ADC is main block of image processing devices if this block consumes low power battery size of device will decreases. Main block of image processing devices is imaging sensor also consume high power. So technology is working for low power dissipation in these two blocks. For reduction of power consumption in ADC and image sensor CMOS technology is used. CMOS is transistor consists on PMOS and NMOS type transistor and it consumes low power. In ADC comparator is main block which consume high power so now by using CMOS in comparator block power dissipation is reduce. And in image sensor CMOS is used row and column wise selection of pixel sensor and it act as switch. If these both blocks consume low power so the size of battery is reduce and timing is increases, device will be portable.
