There is always a need for a management system that automates your work and allows you to control, manage and monitor various aspects of your organization. There is no proper system to check or track assets that are being utilized in your organization. It would be better if the system is automated and live tracking is enabled. Along with this, the maintaining of the record should be automated to increase the responsiveness and prediction.
Generating maintenance reports is also a challenging task if there is no proper monitoring on time. So, to cater to this problem, we've brought up a solution in which smart trackers will use which will be attached to the asset which will be providing real-time tracking of that particular asset through GPS tracker and that GPS tracker will be providing the data to the systems where the system will be providing the current location of that particular asset. Our system will also be displaying the information of the assets whether it is available or is currently used. The system will also indicate if a particular asset goes missing or crosses the boundary location set by the admin. The system will also generate a maintenance report where all details of a specific asset will be available like how much it is used and where it is used mostly.
Project ObjectivesThe asset tracking and Management will meet the following objectives:
- To properly manage the inventory of the organization through the inventory management module all the items with their respective health as well as their specification will be managed.
- To detect the current location of the particular asset in real-time which will be done using smart tags that will be attached to the asset which will be providing the data to the System (CMMS).
- To generate a report for the supervisor or manager to check all the details about the consumption of a particular asset as well as its health left
- The system will allow user to set Geofence on tracker such that when it crosses it, an alert is generated in the system, this will provide security.
- The system will be responsible to display the current location of the particular asset which will be done using the data coming in real-time from the tracker.
- The system will also provide the information to the manager or supervisor whether the particular asset is available for use or is being currently used.
Project Approach:
It will be a web-based application, Assets and labor will be given their individual smart tags which will be connected to the CMMS application through a router. These IOT tags will send real-time data monitoring to the CMMS application about locations, usage of assets and labor. It will generate the maintenance report on the basis of real-time monitoring of assets or inventory.

- Backend: Python, Django, PostgreSQL

A web-based application where the supervisor can monitor the activity and location of assigned to them. He can also set Geofences on the map such that if tracker crosses it, an alert is generated, this will provide security against misuse of assets such as vehicles and also theft. He can also generate maintenance reports, check inventory, register new assets, set scheduling of jobs.
