• In this Project we will transmitt data using LED or Laser source by OOK Modulation technique.
• Data will be transmitted wirelessly at some distance.
• We can use LED or Laser that turns On and Off very quickly.
• This will be very fast process that human eye cannot see the blinking of LED.
• This Flickering of LED will transfer data in binary(On=1 & Off=0)  form.
• This modulation will generate electric signals that carries data, will be sensed at reciever side.
• This light is picked up by an array of photodiodes on the receiver side.

Project Objectives

• To transmitt data wirelessly using LED.
• To create a cost effective.
• RF technologies has facilitated communication including audio, images, video and data transmission. However, the RF spectrum is getting increasingly crowded, and alternative
  methods to transfer data need to be explored. In this project software-hardware co-design is implemented to design the audio
  data synchronization and transmission for an optical through air transceiver system.

Project Implementation Method

• Our Project will be implemented by many modulation techniques. We will use OOK (On OFF keying modulation). In this technique, On-off keying denotes the simplest form of amplitude-shift keying modulation that represents digital data as the presence or absence of a carrier wave. In its simplest form, the presence of a carrier for a specific duration represents a binary one, while its absence for the same duration represents a binary zero.
• We are using TTL converter as a bridge for transmitter and reciever for serial communication.
• We will use Fet driver to support our N channel  fet which is used to drive current from TTL.
• Then our Led will recieve this OOK signal by turning on and off and sending binary signal to reciever side.
• Photodiode will detect this signal, TIA (Transimpedence Amplifier) will amplify this signal and after reconstructing this signal our reciever will rercieve the signal from TTL to usb converter.
• We will use terminal software (Cool term,Tera term..) to write data on serial ports.

Benefits of the Project

• It has many advantages like higher data transmission speed, more secure and more availability. 
• Our objective is to transmit data by using this technology at higher data rate and use it for different purposes.
• It is useful in some areas of hospitals and factories where there are many limitations for using current technology.
• Can enable communication in water by using high intensity laser.
• Can be integrated with traffic lights.
