It improves the value of our lives by automating various electrical appliances or instruments. Home automation plays significant role in modern era because of its flexibility; by applying this technique at different domains with high precision ultimately save money and time by decreasing human efforts. Prime focus of this technology is to automatically control and protect the household equipment’s like light, fan, door, air conditioners etc.
This project is based on following details:
- Home Automation and security System using Arduino, GSM and moreover it also controls home appliances using Android application. Whenever a person will enter into the house then the count of the persons will be incremented.
- Most efficient electronic door lock system; controlled by using an SPDT “Single Pole Double Throw” type relay (12v Relay).
- At the same time if anyone enters while security mode is ON; SMS will be sent to 5 members of house.
- Temperature and humidity sensor to detect overall environment of the room and corresponding action will be performed. Fire control alarm sensor detects the flame and open the water sprinkle valve, remove the fire and closes the gas valve.
The main objective of this dynamic project is purely based on home automation, which is foremost requirement of today’s digital era that includes various sections such as control, protection and security. Home automation is developed to make daily life ease and comfort with higher efficiency. It performs these functions by automate the typical routines as well as giving homeowners; power to manage their home systems along with approaches of protection and security. By automating many aspects of daily living through remote technology, home automation provides the ability to control home appliances from a smartphone. It adds an extra level of convenience and comfort while eliminating the burden of manually maintaining home systems.Home automation is based on sensors that include temperature, humidity and smoke; moreover, includes electronic door lock system that increases the protection system from burglars.In order to prepare for the residential sector’s home automation transformation, we’ve compiled a comprehensive project that could bring revolution in home automation industry.

Benefits of the Project1. Main benefit of home automation system is to provide ease and comfort to home owners for control and protect defective home appliances with the help of the android application that save electricity, time and money.
2. The dynamic concept of this project helps old people by controlling home appliances with the help of their mobile phones as they do not need to move towards different locations for turning the Appliances ON and OFF.
2. The system alerts the person in case of burglar enters the house by sending SMS to 5 person’s mobile phone which could enable them to protect their home from burglars.
4. The use of different sensors that will ensure the home protection as well as to maintain the home environment and on-time respond in case of any abnormal conditions.
