Project Summary

As we all know coronavirus happens and everybody moves online, which is why we are creating a system that enables patients to make an appointment online and can see all the related information whatever they wanted to know about. We are also creating a module for doctors in which they can prescribe the patients accordingly. The components of an Automated hospital management system can be chosen and combined in the general system that meets the needs and standards of the healthcare industry as well as quality standards. One of the main requirements of the Automated hospital management system is security. All medical records have to be protected and only accessible for the allowed users. We will also include the module for patients, departments, and employees. This system also maintains the information about medicines and their categories. We are also creating patient management in which hospitals can keep track of the required treatment and dose of the medicines. The person responsible for the particular patient will have the schedule of the daily medicines and times according to which the patient should be given the dose of the medicines. If the attendant does not click on the button the dose which should be given to the patient the timer will start and after some time a notification or message will generate to inform the attendant doctor and the guardian of the patient.

Project Objectives

Hospitals are an essential part of our lives, providing the best medical facilities to people suffering from various ailments, which may be due to changes in climatic conditions, increased workload, emotional trauma stress, etc. The hospitals must keep track of their day-to-day activities & records of their patients, doctors, and other staff personnel that keep the hospital running smoothly & successfully. The hospital system software covers the services that unify and simplify the work of healthcare professionals as well as their interactions with patients. The hospital management system feature list is concentrated on providing a smooth experience for patients, staff, and hospital authorities. The implementation of the hospital management system project provides the institution with different advantages that improve the service quality and efficiency.

Project Implementation Method

It will be a hospital management system divided into 3 users, employees, admin, doctors, and patients. Every user will register or log in themselves before doing any work. Admin login will redirect the admin on a dashboard in which they can edit delete and create many things like department, employee, doctor, patient, medicines, etc. Patient login will redirect the patient to the website where they can make an appointment with the specialist they want. Doctor login will redirect to the dashboard in which they can know about their appointments and can prescribe them accordingly. The website can be accessible by every user but before placing an appointment user must log in. First, we started our website by making a whole project static with static fields and no database is included in this implementation, then we had moved towards making our management system dynamic by making our logins and all the cruds dynamic with the database. We created our database on my SQL and migrated all the tables to the database. We are also making a dose tracking module in which attendants can track the dose for the patients. If the given time exceeds to the actual time it will generate a push notification and notify the admin doctor and attendant. If the attendant is not available at a moment it will automatically be assigned to the secondary attendant. 

Benefits of the Project

Management systems are always helpful to keep track of daily work. hospital management system keeps track of medicines, departments, patients, doctors, employees, etc.

Dose tracking can track the dose timing and notify the admin and attendant of giving the dose on time. 

If will help keep track on what dose given to what patient on time.
