AR technology melds virtual objects into the real-world environment. AR is widely used in mobile application development, especially in gaming, it explores the user experience of Smartphones. Our project offers AR Object Recognition.AR object recognition, also known as object detection, attaches a digital 3D or 2D model to a real-world object that learners can pick up and manipulate. Learners scan the real-world 3D object, then a simulated 3D or 2D model is attached to it.
It is generally assumed that there is a relationship between ratings(reviews), and sales. We find that ratings have an indirect impact on product sales. Our findings also indicate that the two most accessible types of reviews one is most helpful and the other most recent play a significant role in determining sales. Reviews also have a greater impact on the decision-making of customers. So, our main task is to use object detection and tracking to determine what relevant information of the product should be added to the real world.
The most important goal of our project is to provide product (shoes) reviews to the customer. As online websites and other applications also provide product reviews, our AR-based application will provide descriptions and reviews of the product by recognizing the product at runtime. The primary purpose of the project is to create an AR-based mobile application that incorporates the use of object detection and object recognition. Our main task is to provide product-relevant ratings and reviews to the user using object identification.
Objectives of AR shoe identification are as follows:
The solution we are going to implement in our working of AR shoe identification is a Marker-based solution. The app generates an image of the object using the camera from a phone or tablet. AR app recognizes the object within the real-world environment through feature points. To recognize the product(shoe), the camera finds matches between the reference and frame images. Then the app provides product-relevant ratings and reviews to the user using object identification.
Selecting a methodology is very sensitive to choose as your whole project is based on it. The methodology must be selected according to your project if you are making software that in the future doesn’t need any change you can choose the Waterfall model, but in our project case we are using Rapid application development (RAD).
Users will be able to open the camera.
The system will capture the image.
The system will preprocess the captured image.
The system will identify the product (shoe).
The system will generate a 2D text model which will contain the description and reviews of the product(shoe).
Users will be able to view the 2D text model in a real environment.
Online websites and other applications also provide product reviews, but our AR-based application will provide descriptions and reviews of the product by recognizing the product at runtime. Our project is not only beneficial for the marketing in short term, but it has also a long-term beneficial impact which mainly includes customer satisfaction that will directly lead to an increase in customer devotion.
The proposed solution states that you only need an ARCore supported device for the 2D text model in a real environment and a digital camera is also required for capturing image for object recognition.
Dividing a project into phases makes it possible to lead it in the best possible direction.
It will divide the total workload of the project, by dividing its components. As their first comes the idea of the project and then leads it to the implementation.
Methodologies for development help in every stage in Project. It helps managers to manage the plan, initiate and implement ideas against the project.
