Artificial Intelligence based Virtual Assistant with Smart Screen and Automation System
This project can be broken down into three segments i.e., virtual assistant, automation, and smart user interactive display. The main task of this project is to design a user interactive smart display having virtual assistant for basic tasks such as daily schedule, reminders, entertainment, information, and news. Through this virtual assistant, we will also automate home appliances as following:
1. Controlling brightness of bulb.
2. Controlling speed of DC fan.
3. Switching of mobile/laptop charger.
The compact form of our project is basically the smart display for resident’s assistance having date, time, and weather conditions of city and status of all these three appliances displayed on the screen.
1. To implement an interactive system which will be able to understand human voice and perform the specific task including home automation not by just switching them but also controlling the speed of DC fan and brightness of bulb etc.
2. To design and develop the system which is user friendly having very exceptionally progressed brilliant screen innovation that give the best client experience for home environment which provide comfort and luxurious way of living.
3. To provide AI chat assistance which will be able to control the home appliances and performing specific tasks as well.
We will be using Raspberry Pi as our controller and coding for the UI of display and home automation will be based on Java and Python languages. This project is based on Wi-Fi, all data and commands are sent on Adafruit web server. The user will give voice command through microphone, this command will be sent on cloud server where it is decoded. IFTTT (If This Than That) is used to use google assistant service and Adafruit service in chain. So, Google assistant is used to control home appliances according to user commands. Then IFTTT interpret the message and can send it to Adafruit’s dashboard which is continuously monitored by the Raspberry Pi. This microcontroller will act as per the data change on the Adafruit dashboard. Then microcontroller sends signals to relays accordingly for appliance to be controlled.
? Smart screen provides the display of necessary information like time, date, weather, and status of home appliances so no need to check the phone all time.

Components required for the project are raspberry pi, smart screen, etc. Implement virtual assistant using coding and python programming which is talkable with us. Automation with virtual assistant i.e controlling speed of DC fan using motor driver and controlling brightness of AC led bulb using AC dimmer module and relay circuitry. Designing the architecture of screen that display the results such as period, day, apps and weather forecasting etc. We also include speech recognition as we automate and control the speed and brightness of DC fan and AC bulb through voice commands.
