Project Summary

Junk food consumption has become a major public health concern globally because of its health consequences. Junk food may lead to obesity and act as a risk factor for different noncommunicable diseases like heart diseases, cardiovascular disease, cancer, hypertension, diabetes, etc. But Junk food is not the only reason of these diseases. Eating too many or too few calories also cause these diseases. Some people become weak due to eating less food while some people are obese due to eating more food. If you eat more calories than your body changes extra calories into fat. Too much fat can lead to being overweight and health problem. Also regularly eating fewer calories than your body requires can cause fatigue and make it more challenging for you to meet your daily nutrient need. For instance, calories restricted diet may not provide a sufficient amount of iron folate or vitamin B12 that can lead to anemia. There are variety of websites that are selling only healthy food products but these websites didn’t tell us about vitamins, calories and nutrients details. To solve this problem, we are creating an E-commerce store that has a variety of healthy food items. Customers will be able to buy any food item and when he adds that food item in to the cart, he will get all calories details that food contains. The health food cart will not only tell you how many calories are in each food but also which nutrients and vitamins are in each food. Our website will help people to maintain healthy and balance diet and especially those who are very sensitive about health.

In our optional module, we may also work on creating a healthy diet for those people who want to lose weight without exercise.
