It is detection of weapon for smart surveillance. Realtime weapon detector detects the weapons like guns, handguns or knives and save a frame of detection. it will send immediately an email with the frame and send message directly on your mobile network.

Project Objectives

Every year, a large amount of population reconciles gun-related violence all over the world. In this work, we develop a computer-based fully automated system to identify basic armaments, particularly handguns and rifles. Recent work in the field of deep learning and transfer learning has demonstrated significant progress in the areas of object detection and recognition.

Project Implementation Method

First we have to call our main user interface. The main user interface consist of login and registration. And the next interface consist of the camera locations and input email eddress and phone number. Then we will go to detection screen and a box appear with the confidence. When any detection occur the frame saved to files and a messsge will b e sent via email or phone number. 

Benefits of the Project

Violence committed with guns puts significant impact on public, health, psychological, and economic cost. Many people die each year from gun-related violence. Psychological trauma is frequent among children who are exposed to high levels of violence in their communities or through the media. Children exposed to gun-related violence, whether they are victims, perpetrators, or witnesses, can experience negative psychological effects over the short and long terms. Number of studies show that handheld gun is the primary weapon used for various crimes like break-in, robbery, shoplifting, and rape. These crimes can be reduced by identifying the disruptive behavior at early stage and monitoring the suspicious activities carefully so that law enforcement agencies can further take immediate action.
