Voltage Source Convertor Training System
The development of new generation systems has offered options for less energy losses and power conversion processes in fild of Electrical Engineering. Therefore, with the evaluation of Power Electronics in field of Electrical Equipments, the need of smart devices came into existance. These devices includes the use of Mosfets and IGBTS which are also considered as fast switching devices. Proper controlling of these devices enables users to have the flow of current according to the user or with the availablility of the power being supplied.
The system is of developing of a smart platform using Matlab that is capable for having a complete concept of power flow in electronics convertor to the one who is new to the field. The convertor designed is used for performing rectification and inversion using IGBT's with controlling techniques. Moreover, the the system is also made stable using PI controllers and harmonics are removed in the system by the concept of different filteration process.

While desinging a trainer system we are using the simulink model for the simulation of Voltage Source Convertor Training System. We are using IGBT's with reverse parallel diodes for the flow of current in both directions that is of rectification and inversion. The six IGBT attached are used to convert the alternating current to direct current and the reverse parallel diodes will be responsible for the flow of power from direct current to alternating current.
Since same switching devices are used for rectification and inversion so there would be a controlled technique for the flow of the curremt. The technique that is developed is by the use of PI controller. Current is flowed within the circuit using this PI tuner. Moreover, filters are designed for removing ripples and harmonics within the system.
This project enables the one who is new in era of power electronics to learn ablout the coversion systems.
This model is also capable to run a system after power conversions.
We will be follwing the close loop process for defing the system of power conversion. The IGBT's attached within the system will be made possible for the flow of current. Current produced within the system is properly controlled and made stable using PI controllers. Finally, the designing and selections of filters for current ripples stability is the main part of design.
