          For the automotive industry, promoting more value-adding services in usage stage is a long-standing challenge for global manufacturers. As many vehicles have an unknown history, it is difficult to prove, if not impossible, to prevent frauds when offering vehicle services.

          Facing frauds in automotive industry is an ongoing challenge. Concerned by this problem are not only the owners and potential buyers of vehicle, but also entities like insurance companies, car dealers, police etc.

              In our work we present a solution for establishing a trust between these parties by keeping the records of vehicles registration etc. through Blockchain. A system in which a record of transactions made in bitcoin or another cryptocurrency are maintained across several computers that are linked in a peer-to-peer network. As blockchain is characterized by high immutability, transparency, security and traceability. Such characteristics make block-chain a highly promising empowering technology to maintain the mutual trust among the stakeholders in vehicles product service system.

      We will follow the waterfall model due to the reason that:

  • our requirements are well-defined
  • Requirements do not change during the development stage. Product is delivered at the completion of the project.
