Project Summary

A novice user or new buyer with no prior knowledge about the maintenance of the vehicle and can sometime lead to very severe damage to vehicle and can cause very huge maintenance bill.

This Problem can be solved with the help of Vehicle Monitoring System, after getting the type of vehicle, it can generate prompts about when to check for different parts/areas of the vehicle e.g. Battery acid, Coolants. Tire Air Pressure, etc. App will also keep record of all the maintenance history and visits to workshop and can help to identify the quality of the vehicle.

Project Objectives

• Vehicle Monitoring and Management System aims to minimize the maintnance bill.
• Handles the Communication between the GPS and the Application on the basis of information coming from GPS such as speed of vehicle, time duration of trip, distance travelled by car etc.
• Using the information (mentioned above recieving from GPS) Application will provide differnet alerts if person breach the speed limit while driving, Tire air pressure information alert tells the situation of tires and so on.
• History maintenance of vehicle which involves every visirt to the workshop.
• Information about different vehicles with detailed informaton is also provided.

Project Implementation Method

Project Implementation can be divided into two phases.

Hardware Implementation

Hardware Implementaton invloves the connection of GPS device to the vehicle in correct way and to make sure that device will continuously upload data to the cloud in real time,where our cloud based dashboard informaton will give to us in useful, easy to understand information.

Software Implementation

Software development phase includes the development of cross platform applicaton that provide decent interface.Apllication will recieve the data from realtime database and generate different pop-ups/alerts.Also provide dashboard that contains every information about the vehicle coming from real time database.User maintain the history of vehicle in the application by creating notes/stickynotes like view in the application.Application will also keep record of every visit to the workshop.Application will alse provide some detail informaton about atleast three brands of different vehicles.

1. Novice user can learn how to minimize the maintenance bill.
2. Application produces such type of prompts/pop-ups which alert the vehicel owner/user to take the vehicle to the workshop within time which takes care the maintnance bill as well.
3. Application will also provide detail information of the vehicle such as speed information,time duration of trip, distanc travelled by car etc.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The technical deliverables for this project can be split into two parts.

1. Documentation

Project documentation contains the Software requirement specification (SRS) document,project understanding diagrams, user interfaces.

2. Software Deliverable

Involves the complete implementation of mobile app.
