Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryThe main aim of this project is to offer advance security system in car, which consist of a face detection system, a GPS module & a GSM module The system is mainly used to identify the car and the thief who theft the car. FDS (Face Detection System) is used to detect the face of the driver and compare it with the database to check he is an authenticated driver or not. The GSM plays an important role in this system which sends the thief image to the owner via MMS through the specified SIM which is predefined in the car module. The GPS module in the car detects the location of the car and send the location of the to the owner via SMS. So by this system the detection of thief image and the location of the car are simply smart and cheaper than traditional one.
Project ObjectivesNowadays, everyone and every industry likes to keep in pace with the advancement in the technology. Automobile industry is also doing same in this aspect. Now almost everyone has a car. As purchasing a car is a big investment, people are really concerned about the advanced technologies in automobile industry. Automobile companies have witnessed a major boost in their technological aspects by introducing automation in the vehicles to provide user friendly and advance features to their customers.
Vehicle security is concerned many options are available depending upon the technology being Included. Many auto theft alarms and devices are installed in cars but they didn’t prove to be a solution to the customer’s issues. GSM based car/vehicle security system is one of the possible technology solution and it is designed by several groups to identify the car/vehicle location upon getting it stolen. Therefore, to tackle this issue this electronic system is developed.
Project Implementation MethodSYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION
A. IMAGES FROM THE CAMERA:
In the system prototype, one Camera is used to catch images in car and the data are transmitted to FDS and the data are transferred into jpeg format files by the chip embedded camera before the transmission.
B. GSM MODULE:
To achieve important information of cars, one GSM module is added into the car security system. GSM modem can quickly send SMS messages to appointed mobile phone or SMS server. So the owner can be informed at the first time.
C. GPS MODULE:
GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) technique has been widely used both in military equipment’s and civil devices in recent years. In this system we use GPS module to obtain current location of the vehicle.
D. FACE DETECTION & RECOGNITION:
Face detection can be regarded as a more general case of face localization. In face localization, the task is to find the locations and sizes of a known number of faces (usually one). In this system, we will implement a face recognition system that will try to find the identity of a given face according to the memory.
E. MMS MODULE:
In case if the face of the person does not match with the defined pictures. System will send the picture of unauthorized person in the car and thus it will activate the MMS module present in that system. The role of MMS module is to send the image of that unauthorized person on the owners Mobile.
Benefits of the ProjectBENEFITS:
•This system will automatically take photos of driver and compares his or her face with database to check he is an authenticated driver or not.
•This system puts into sleeping mode while the vehicle handled by the owner or authorized person otherwise goes to active mode.
