One of the major sources for this rapid spreading is currency we use. Considering this fact, we are designing a currency sterilization machine which uses C-type UV light to sterilize currency notes. A printer like mechanism will be used for the movement of currency notes. Currency notes will go through a sterilization chamber where they will be exposed to UV light. The whole process will be automated through a microcontroller. To make it user friendly system, a LCD TFT along with a keypad will be used. Speed and exposer of UV light will be controlled as per requirements. Also, currency counting feature will be added to the system to be used at banks and other places instead of using conventional currency counting machine.
Project ObjectivesOur objective is to eliminate these problems which is related to the currency notes. Our task is of sterilizing the currency notes. However, problem number one which is sterilization, the most common way to sterilize is through spraying/sanitizer the currency notes. Also, we are using the UV Light rays which enhances the effect of sterilization mechanism. AND the other important part of our project is to use the counter mechanism for the counting of notes.
Project Implementation MethodThe implementation method starts from the Brain storming of the whole group on how this Idea will be executed. From time to time we were coming up with solutions to the problems that we were about to face. We used printer mechanism (ruler) by which the currency notes will moved then we wanted a transparent material for the sterilization chamber for which we made a glass tray then placed the UV Light of 8W on both sides of the glass. Through the motor driver the speed has been controlled of the ruler and it is run through gear motor. This is the work till first milestone of our project now we are left with counting system for which the IR sensor will be fitted and Arduino is placed for the programming. An LCD will be placed which will show the output that is Currency amount type and quantity.
Benefits of the ProjectThe Benefit of the Project is firstly that this is made in this Pandemic COVID-19, So we will somehow can control the spread of the cases to some extent through our project and that is by sterilization. It is for health purpose also the counting system can benefit in banks, local utility store, toll area etc. It is protecting the Envoirment from the Hazards. The sterilization is done by the help of UV Light of C-TYPE.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableAs the project has 2 portions one is the sterilization part and the other is the Couting System, So to make this project we used printer mechanism that is through the ruler of it which we are running it by a gear motor. Through the ruler the notes are moved to glass tray that is the Sterilization Chamber where the notes will be sterilized by both sides as the UV Light of C-TYPE are placed on the both sides of glass tray. An IR sensor is placed then the arduino is for programming. Motor driver module is placed which controls the speed of ruler. 2.5 inch LCD TFT is placed which will show the output result.
