We also use artificial intelligence techniques to predict the proper daily dosage of insulin based on the patient's previous record.
This application will basically provide a platform where patients and doctors connect with each other, also helps doctors to daily monitor their patient's diabetes.
Project ObjectivesDiabetes is a disease which is mostly caused by the excess or insufficient glucose level in the blood.
As we know today many people in Pakistan have diabetes. We also know that diabetes is an incurable but controllable disease. Most people in Pakistan having diabetes belongs to the middle class or low-class family. Where they cannot have enough source or time to have a regular checkup, which leads them to further illness. They don’t record the dosage of insulin they take. Also, they also don’t have any source to inform the doctor about their current glucose level.
Mainly the people have to take the doctor appointments for their checkup, and they can’t tell the doctors about their current health.
On the other hand, the doctors don’t know anything about their patients' condition and can’t tell them if the patient doing anything wrong.
One objective of this project is to make an app which helps the diabetic patient to daily record their glucose level and the inulin dosage they take on the daily basis and in case of an emergency they can take help with doctors.
Another objective is to use Artificial Intelligence techniques to predict the daily dosage of insulin.
Project Implementation MethodImplementation:
This project will be mobile-based android application. It will be developed on the Android Studio using Java/ Kotlin language. It requires a smartphone to test the app in the real environment. Android Studio will be used as a software to build the project. Data related to the app will also be required to implement artificial intelligence in the app. Python may use to implements machine learning in the project.
A later project will be implemented to the hospitals in the Karachi and it will be used by the doctor and their patients.
Benefits of the ProjectThis project helps diabetic patients keep the record of diabetes and insulin and also sends the report to the doctor. It will also help them by predicting the insulin dosage which will help patients control their diabetes and may help them cure the disease. The app can also be used in case of an emergency to contact the doctor or to get an ambulance.
This will also help doctors to know about the patient's current health conditions.
In the project, the first thing is to make a login and registration system where Patients and Doctors can register and then login. Then Doctor can Create a channel by which patients can connect with their doctor by the code generated by doctors. After joining the patient can record their daily glucose level, where the doctor can also check daily records of the patient and can even generate an alert in case the wrong dosage of insulin or an emergency. The patient will also be recommended about how much insulin should they have to take or they will also be adviced to go to the doctor in case of an emergency.
The application will also have a session where the patient can contact a doctor either with voice or text messages.
The application also has an emergency button which helps the patient to call an ambulance service.
