Cloud Computing is an on demand provision of processing capability, storage of data, application and many different type of resources by cloud services through the Internet. Scheduling of tasks is very important with the increasing trend of usage of heterogeneous computing systems to achieve high reliability, computing powers, scalability and accessibility in number of field of researches. With the growth trend of using heterogeneous computing system for high computing power, scalability, reliability and availability in many fields of research. Task scheduling is the key issues for high performance computing and getting optimal solution by using best techniques. Our target is to develop an efficient QoS based task scheduling algorithm in order to enhance the overall efficiency of tasks scheduling in heterogeneous cloud computing environment.

Project Objectives

The aim of the research work is to optimize overall makespan under improved quality of service in Cloud Computing environment.

Project Implementation Method

We ran different algorithms related to task scheduling in eclipse to compare the performance of those algorithms by measuring SLR, Computation Cost. HEFT, CPOP and Parental Prioritization Algorithm. After the comparison of all algorithm we finally implement our algorithm HEET which works in two steps. First one prioritize the tasks and the second step allocates the processor which has the minimum execution time.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

At the time of delivery, our project will consists of a research paper and an algorithm in running form on eclipse. It will show results in pictorial way such as graphs generated through python codes on pycharm.
