Project Summary

We all travel almost every day to different locations with in city and some time to other cities. Everyone need a toilet while travelling within city or intercity especially on highways and motorways. In this part of the world public toilets are not everywhere and most of the toilets on different spots (such as petrol pumps, restaurants etc) are often not according to the standard when it comes to cleanliness which can cause hygiene problems and infection. People mostly avoid using these toilets due to these problems which is not a good sign for health either. Owners of these business such as petrol pumps and restaurants are not giving proper attentions to cope this problem and make sure that these places are clean all the time. Secondly, streets and shopping markets are also not clean as lot of waste and garbage are scattered and not in the bin. Keeping in mind these issues we are proposing an android application based on GIS mapping to report the images of such places to the government department. As smart phones are widely used and almost every person carry it. Just take a picture of the place and our mobile application will send its location, image and details of the specific place to the government department to take action accordingly. The aim of this idea to provide clean and healthy environment by contributing to the society.

3. To develop a mobile application that can report to the concern government department to take action accordingly.
4. To maintain record of every place and the number of complaints made so that the government department can charge accordingly.
5. Contributing to the society.

Project Implementation Method

A mobile application will be developed. Every user will need to register himself just by providing basic information such as name, mobile number etc. User will have two options, either to complaint directly or send it later. In direct method, user will capture image of the place having solid waste or garbage. Using GIS mapping coordinates of the place along with name of the place will be sent to the concerned server by having Internet connectivity. Another method is offline, where user will take picture and send the complaint later when Internet is available. By using his credentials user can check the status of the complaint and will be informed when the complaint is resolved. At server a proper database will be maintained having record of every user along with number of times a specific user has made complaints. Secondly, the number of complaints made against every place (such as petrol pump, restaurants etc) will also be recorded and will be ranked accordingly. The concern government department can charge on the basis of complaints registered against them.
