Summary:
Our project is called “Software Automation and Scheduling of Assembly Line Inventory Management System”. Basically in this project we are developing a structured database software application and circuitry for scheduling of assembly line inventory that might be implemented in any defense industry or manufacturing industry. We have to create an application that gives timely updates for every part of machinery and circuit that is actually responsible for the scheduling of the tasks properly in the required time frame and we had to create a link between the store where actual parts of machinery are present and the main manufacturing line which keeps on updating with the requirement of the workers working on the field.

Project Objectives

Objective:
We need to design our project in such a way that manages the store and assembly line as well as make their performance and productivity optimize in terms of time and resources. The main objective of this project is to decrease time with minimum wastage of resources and increase productivity rate of the industry.

The basic goal that our group has come up with to achieve with this project is to create a “complete” application that would be easily used by higher authorities of any industry to keep an eye on their working sector and track the overall record of the year related to the performance and utilization of resources.

A procedure is developed for computing efficiently the work in process inventory cost. We have to assign proper time and schedule the whole assembly line , also we have to calculate the time at each state and estimate the progress of the month and keep the status bar updated according to the daily progress.

This project is beneficial for industries and manufacturing orginizations where they use assembly lines for the product assembling process. Develop a link between the main inventory and the actual manufacturing shop of the industry.Assembly line management problem is a complex problem for any industrial organization. The assembly line consists of different work-stations. Each sub-station completes its assigned task or functionality and finally assembles the complete product and sends it to the electronic department for functionality installation. The first major issue of such assembly line is that they have to achieve certain goal or target every month so for that they should have to schedule their tasks efficiently and timely to complete their actual target. If the certain goal is not achieved timely then it means that they are lagging because of their performance and they have to pay extra for further processing or either they will have some sort of loss in their business. Second problem is that in such manufacturing companies or industries they have very large inventory or store which they have to update or kept an eye on for their task completion so managing the store is also a huge problem of industries.

Traditionally, industries like any manufacturing industry they basically are working with old and generic methods that consumes a lot of time in rather it be file management or assemble an automobile.

Our task is to make a fully automated system that covers both the both. We will structure the whole data in the form of data base and by using some hardware we will perform scheduling to make assigned jobs to each work-station faster.  We will be using Microsoft Project and Primavera for front end of the web while the database will be implemented using the MySQL database package. Our project will provide effective information management as; it will track the performance of the workers as well as the time period required in each stage to make increase in the productivity rate of the industry. Also it continuously updates the present record of the store.

Since this is going to be a complete software base project so the resources we will need would be a laptop, some project management software’s like Primavera, Microsoft Project, Azure, and My SQL.
