Project Summary

For human beings the first most important thing is Health. Now a days we are dealing with Illegal and counterfeit pharmaceutical products in very high at ground level in the market. Pharmaceutical products (medicines) can save lives only if they are safe, efficacious, of good quality and affordable. Counterfeit pharmaceutical products (medicines) are known as the medications that were manufactured for the purpose of deceptively representing as authentic, effective and original in the market. The use of unsafe, substandard, ineffective, repackage and counterfeit products have an inimical effect on the human health. The legal manufacturing companies also face threats to their revenue loss due to these counterfeited medicines.

To address the problem of Counterfeit pharmaceutical products, we will propose an android-based solution that will identify and detect the counterfeit pharmaceutical products in the market through a unique bar code and also stored the distributors list. Our proposed solution will make use of smart phones devices to achieve the objectives.

Project Objectives

The main objectives of this project are as follow:

To design and develop an Android-based application for counterfeit pharmaceutical

products.

To report (identify/Detect) the counterfeit and repacked production.

To keep generate a massage to end user.

Project Implementation Method

For programming purpose, we will use Java or Flatter. All the source code will be written in Java programming language.

We will use Android Studio as development environment platform.Android Studio is a software that allow you to build applications for android mobiles,android TV, android Tablets and android watches.

We will use a Bar code reader which will read the bar code on the product, theni dentify: Is it real or faked.

We will use Amazon Web Services for the data storage purpose. Amazon Web

Services in terms of storage provides scalability, data availability, security, and performance. Android-based smartphone

Timely detection would allow the authorities to take necessary actions regarding fake

medicine.

It will minimize the causes of pharmacy accident that happens due to fake medicine.

It will minimize the damages caused to company, due to fake medicine.

It will minimize the death ratio, disabilities and order health problem.
