Security and surveillance systems has now become more important in both industrial and residential areas. Peoples expanding their businesses locally and internationally. With this advancement security has become one the major or key factor in our current life. For the security and safety of the goods and human lives we must require an updated and an efficient security system and there is no alternative way to secure a place but only having a strong security system. For scurity of precious assets and goods we need to have a strong secuirty system. For this purpose, we are going to develop a system that will be capable of making an area secure.With the help of this system we can remotly control and secure an area. This system consist of Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor that will be able to detect the motion. PIR sensor estimates the presence of the human based on the infrared radiation absorbed by it. When it detects certain amount of infrared in the range of it. If it detects any kind of motion it will immediatly capture the image of person and inform to the repective authority that something went wrong.
The Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor has BISS0001 chip which is a low powered motion detector IC. After doing some small processing task it outputs digital pulse with respect to the input analog data consumption.. The long range and wide angle makes this quite efficient to detect any person’s presence very easily . The sensitivity and time delay of the output can be controlled by rotating the adjustable Tx and Sx potentiometers accordingly. To detect only the presence of human and not any other objects the sensitivity is made low. ARM cortex A53 integrated Raspberry PI (Model 3B) is used. The reason behind choosing this small CPU is, it comes with faster speed and more flexible operation. Microprocessor works as a communication medium between both sensor and GSM modem. Raspberry pi’s GPIO pins are calibrated in accordance with the input and output communication with sensors and GSM module.
The program is kept running continuously once the system is turned on. Turning on and off of the LED is controlled by the output from the sensor. When the LED once turned on then an alarming message is sent to the respective authority.
