Project Summary

Smart Hearing Device will demonstrate a dynamic hearing device that identifies and provides a
temporary/removable hearing solution to people suffering from sensorineural hear loss or for
hearing loss due to any other reason. This will help dynamically amplify desired input sounds and
suppress undesirable noise signals. Furthermore, it will also cater people with different kinds of
hearing loss providing users with ease of adjusting the intensity of output signal dynamically so the
users won’t face the difficulty of adjusting the intensity manually. It will take time to make a product out of the prototype but surely it will help us to make the product locally and reachable.
 

Project Objectives

  • To learn the technology involved in making smart hearing aids.
  • To make a prototype of smart hearing aid.

Project Implementation Method

  • First it will be implemented on MATLAB.
  • In FYP 2 we will implement it on PCB using Raspberry pi for Digital signal processing.

Benefits of the Project

  • The prototype will help us to make a product in future.
  • Mostly smart hearing aid devices are imported and many can't afford so, we want to make something that can be reachable for our locals.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

  • In FYP 1 project will be implemented on MATLAB and will be tested.
  • In FYP 2 we will implement it on PCB using Raspberry pi for DSP.
  • Python will be used for coding purpose.
  • Before PCB it will be tested on Breadboard.
  • Proteus will be used for circuit designing.
