Smart Delivery using Robot
Technology is growing day by day to reduce the human efforts, robotics technology is one of them, Robots are likely to be utilized in various fields, e.g manufacturing, assembly and packing, earth and space exploration, surgery, weaponry, laboratory research, and mass production of consumer and industrial goods.
Traditionally, in organizations office workers/peons are used to serve and transfer files/documents between offices, however, we propose a smart delivery system using robots to reduce the labor work, and utilize technology efficiently.
We intend to develop a web application that controls the robot autonomously and delivers the products to their destination on time without any human effort. This application contains two types of user admin and users, Front end of the web application will be user-friendly, GPS (Global Positioning System) to navigate the robot and for avoiding obstacles, we use a camera/ultrasonic sensor to detect the object. We use Jackal robot for this project. We also intend to study different technologically advanced delivery systems. We also intend to study different challenges which are faced by such an autonomous delivery system. There are different limitations to delivering products using robot technology, such as obstacles in the path, unstructured environment, carrying capacity of the robot, battery capacity, and other hardware limitations. We first simulate jackal using gazebo to train the robot and code accordingly then we shift to hardware. Despite that our proposed application will be helpful for the delivery system and it can be updated/modified in the future.
The proposed model will be useful in industrial organizations as well as educational institutions.

In order to implement the above objectives, the project is divided into three main sections.
The simulation part of the project involves the simulation of the robot on Gazebo simulator where we train the robots on different types of maps, while in the hardware implementation we test the results which we get from simulation on the real robot, connect our robot over the network and on GPS (Global Positioning System) and navigate the robot on different maps, At the end we design a user interface for remotely control the system we connect the web application through network APIS.
The main application of this project is in educational institutes and industrial organizations, Smart delivery system works as an assistant to deliver goods office to office and reduce the labor work, saving time and labor cost, This project can be used in various filed it’s also applicable for the hospitals to provide medicine to the Covidp-19 patients.
