The Smart Cafe Dine in System is designed to evolve the previously used manual serving system. Thus, cafes of today must implement a safe, reliable, and easy to use order placement and order delivery system. The Smart Cafe is proposed to solve the problem of hiring a lot of trained employees and paying them huge amounts of money. Additionally, it helps in implementation of COVID-19 SOPs and safety measures. The proposed project would result in the development of a website and integrated application with the bot for serving food. In this project we are expecting that food will be ordered online by application or website and then it would be served by the bot in an effective manner and payment will also be done online by QR payment method which means food would be served without any interaction of restaurant staff.

Project Objectives

People are quickly moving towards a more astute world, with the execution of brilliant smart cities, smart classrooms, and smartphones. As of now, data and correspondence innovation has been brought to various plans of action to make the activity more advantageous and compelling.

Smart Cafe Restaurant is the eventual fate of Restaurant Catalogs and order taking. It is a multilingual and simple-to-utilize application that replaces the old customary cafe menu, while it likewise functions as a POS system. Smart Restaurant is additionally ideal for Hotels, bistros and every beverage and meal serving business.

The Smart Cafe is proposed to solve the problem of hiring a lot of trained employees and paying them huge amounts of money. Additionally, it helps in implementation of COVID-19 SOPs and safety measures. Customers can enjoy tasty food in a safe manner.

Project Implementation Method

The Smart Cafe Dine In system consists of a Bot to deliver food and a website to collect orders in order to establish the contactless food serving for the restaurants.

 The bot is integrated with different sensors for adding different features to the bot. The collision avoidance system is created using ultrasonic to stop the bot whenever any person or any obstacle comes in front of the bot as well as buzzer will be activated to make the person alert to move away from the path. The table selection panel is designed on the bot to select the required table to deliver food at destination, for this the VDR (Voltage Divider Rule) circuit is used to reduce the pin usage in microcontrollers.

The BOT movement mechanism consists of a motor which we are controlling using the H-BRIDGE as this helps in to control the speed through PWM as well as the forward and reverse movement. The bot counts tables through the reflection of a laser beam on the LDR reflected by the mirror and reaches the desired destination selected by the keypad panel. At the top of the bot there a locking mechanism of food is applied to ensure the food reaches the respective order table so that the food could only be collected by the respective customer. 

The website of smart Café Dine In System is designed using WordPress. In this we have use WP-Ocean theme. We have make several pages by using envato elements plugin in which we have installed a free kit and edited with Elementor plugin according to meet our requirements. After that we have also connected Woocommerce for the cart and checkout page. After that we have make a menu page in which we have added different products like pizzas burgers and other food items. For this we have also make drop down menu for the pizza so the customer can choose the size of pizza and also added the meat option so they can decide in between biryani and Haleem what they want to eat in Beef or chicken. For payment method we have make a QR-Code by scanning the QR Code the payment will be done through Bykea QR Code And NayaPay QR. We have also make a table reservation system when customer came to our Cafe it will scan QR code by doing this the table will be reserved.

Benefits of the Project

In our project the biggest benefit is that we are providing a contact less delivery system. As we know that in the recent time how COVID-19 has destroyed many businesses and especially the restaurant and Cafe businesses, we are providing the solution of that by providing the contact less serving system which will be done by the Bot.

The second benefit is that it will save the cost of the waiters and other staff of the restaurant. As we know that cost affects the business in any field and if we reduce this cost it will be very beneficial for any business and for this we are providing a bot that will only cost 15 to 20k and it is only one time investment. So it is a very big benefit for the Cafe industry.

Another benefit is that we can also reduce the cost of marketing by doing this in our own website. As we know that the cost of marketing is very high and it is mandatory for any business so we are doing this on our website by making post and other things.it reduces the cost of physical marketing as we can use digital marketing techniques which are cheap as compared to physical marketing techniques.

Another benefit is that we can update our menu and other things by using our website database that gives information of the customer’s usage that they are loving our products or not. By doing this we can improve our sales along with updating in the Menu Cart that will help to grow our business.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The technical detail of the final deliverable is consist of the website and  the bot. The BOT is integrated with different sensor and bot movement mechanism along with food locking and unlocking at the respective user table.The collision avoidance system is created using ultrasonic to stop the bot whenever any person or any obstacle comes in front of the bot as well as buzzer will be activated to make the person alert to move away from the path. The BOT movement mechanism consists of a motor which we are controlling using the H-BRIDGE as this helps in to control the speed through PWM as well as the forward and reverse movement. The bot reflects the  laser beam at the LDR, reflects it at the mirror to count the table, and uses the keypad to achieve the desired target of choice.A food locking mechanism has been added to the top of the bot  to ensure that food reaches a particular order table so that  only certain customers can receive it.

The details of website is that when any customer visit our website it will have two choices:

1) the customer can only visit our website 

2) the customer will reserve table through QR code and after that it can give order

The process to give order would include:

Firstly the customer will check our menu page that will appear after table will be reserved by the qr. When customer select any item from our menu it will be sent to cart where customer can increase or decrease any item and it can also use any coupon according to the occasion that will provide by the Cafe. 

After That when the order will be finalized it will go to checkout page where a form is appeared that will be filled by the customer in that form the name of customer, phone and other details will be taken. When the customer submit the form the bill will generate.

After That to pay the bill customer will click button and it will redirect to a payment page where payment will be done through qr. In the end the customer will click on logout and wait for order to deliver,
