Smart Blind Gloves
In this project, we constructed a Smart-Glove for supporting blind and deaf-blind people in communicating with normal people that are not familiar. The Smart-Glove is light, cheap, easy to use and no risk. At the end of the project we believe that the project is an effective and very useful for blind people to communicate with others, and it is very useful for deaf-blind people if they are taught braille where they can communicate with their families and people around them. A set of pushbutton switches are included with the Smart-Glove. Users who are blind can use the Smart-pushbuttons Glove's to compose messages. As a result, the vibration motors matching to the braille code of the particular character vibrate, allowing the reader to read the character efficiently.
The main objective of this project is to help blind and deaf-blind people to communicate with other people. In essence, we aim to design and implement a system that:
i. The main objective to make them confident and independent.
ii. It enables the users to send and receive ultrasonic signals through the vibration.
iii. Vision is important senses in the human body.
iv. It is small and light, so blind person can carry it comfortably.
v. Provided with special equipment to improve.
vi. Blindness is not temporary for certain time.
vii. It provides a mechanism to communicate with deaf-blind people.
viii. Need a boost of confidence to achieve anything on their self without the needs.
ix. It Provide ultrasonic gloves to blind people for guiding them on road crossing indicator.
Smart solutions have been proposed for reducing the disease impact (artificial body parts, augmented reality sensors, etc). Due to the big effort in improving the usability of technological devices for impaired people, the uncanny valley has been filled up and we are facing at threshold of a new era in adopting. The algorithm is based on the well-known Zero Velocity Update approach, adopted in pedestrian dead reckoning the peaks are isolated using fixed threshold, while crosstalk and noise are regarded as a bias and estimated when the hand is still. In this work we introduce the Zero Update algorithm. In pedestrian navigation systems, the position of a pedestrian is computed using an inertial navigation algorithm. To use the zero velocity updating, it is necessary to detect zero velocity intervals reliably. A new zero detection algorithm is proposed the complete schematic diagram of Arduino including the integrated circuit and all the other components.
The benefits of this project are determined. For the hardware, ultrasonic sensors will be used as a sensor to detect obstacles at the front and it will send signal to Arduino which act as microcontroller. The microcontroller will then process data and send the signal to Servo Motor which will guide through its vibrating feedback. This will also produce:
Independent Mobility
Better way to explore surrounding
Low cost device to handle with ease
System is flexible and secure to use
Saves times and reduce interdependency
Suffering Blindness isn't just for a short period of time; it's being blind for the entire day. Every second and minute of the entire time. Once In the middle of the night, a blind individual awakens from his bed. His daily demands and his misery began in the morning start. To reduce the risk of becoming blind, blind persons require additional attention. persons who are injured and those who are affected by their injuries; people who are injured and those who are affected by their injuries To prevent being hurt, you must be near them. People in their immediate vicinity will be exhausted as a result of their presence. paying close attention to them and providing them with whatever they require need. As a result, blind persons must rely on themselves. This paper proposes blind-assistance gloves. People should be able to rely on themselves.
