Our project will be based on two platforms including a web based application and a windows application that will be linked with each other. we will include all the features on the website including menu management and all the sub categories all the inventory controls, setup record of daily inventory, moreover it will include the promotional coupons and discounts. webliste also includes the online ordering system and will show the status of the order and will generate the online invoice displaying the total. For the store itself there will be a desktop application for syncing the upcoming orders and informing the kitchen and keeping the track of the orders being processsed.

Project Objectives

Website includes online ordering sysytem which will show the status of the order and will generate the invoice displaying the total. For the store itself the order would be displayed on the online desktop system which will further show the syncing the upcoming orders an informing the kitchen and keeping the track of the orders being processed.Our project will be moreover based on the customer and the client based friendly environment. Issues may arrived on the reservation time.

Project Implementation Method

To append to this solution, we will create a restaurant based POS and inventory management solution which will then be linked to its web counterpart. We will try to proceed with MVC framework pattern to create an intricate system that can be considered easy to understand by a new developer.In our project we would be targeting the customers with all the options they would be willing to see including menu management one of the most important feature in food system. Menu would be carrying categories and their sub categories, all the inventory controls which would be focusing on the data of customers whether it’s an old record or the recent data entered. We would be generating discounts to attract the customer’s more for their kind of interests.

Benefits of the Project

No unified application is available which links web with desktop pos including table reservation, online ordering, table services. We own a restaurant where we can solve the issues occurring with the clients, we would be dealing with their respective orders and queries related to it. Food management system is the key element for making the food system more responsive and client based friendly. We would be integrating web and desktop to provide a incorporated experience by having both features available to customers such as online table reservation. This type of solution is not widely available and can be a much needed feature for restaurants that work on a reservation only basis, thus making it easy for users to view status of their reservation and place orders/bookings at their convenience.To ensure stricter control over who can book, we can add in the feature of SMS verification to prevent ghost orders from plaguing the system.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We both as a group members have vast knowledge of web based applications including Front End Development and Backend Development including database handling. We are interested to learn more by building up this amazing platform in our Final Year Project that can solve a real-world problem.
